The short version: this page describes something we are building. Joining the waitlist is free, commits you to nothing, and guarantees nothing. If ESSENT never launches, you have lost nothing but an email address you can ask us to delete.
These terms apply to this website. They do not cover the ESSENT app, which will have its own when it ships.
An informational page about ESSENT, a product in development, operated by Tzu-Cheng Kao of Taipei, Taiwan. By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
Everything described here reflects our current intentions and nothing more. Features, pricing, timing and the product itself may change, and ESSENT may never launch at all. Nothing on this page is a promise, a contract, or an offer to sell.
Where we describe what ESSENT will do, read it as a statement of intent by someone building in the open, not as a specification you are entitled to rely on.
Joining is free and commits you to nothing. It does not reserve a place, guarantee access, create any entitlement to a particular price, or oblige you to become a customer. We may close the waitlist, open access in stages, or decline to admit a particular signup, at our discretion.
Please use an email address you are entitled to use, and do not submit anyone else's. You can leave at any time by replying to any of our emails or writing to hi@essent.space.

The text, design, layout, name and branding on this site belong to Tzu-Cheng Kao and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. Please do not reproduce them commercially without asking.
Quoting us with attribution is fine and welcome — link back if it is convenient.
This site is hosted by Vercel, its database is provided by Supabase, and our email is delivered by Resend. Their systems are outside our control and their own terms govern their services. We are responsible for our own site and our own conduct, not for outages or failures at those providers.
Any external links we include are provided for convenience. We do not endorse and cannot vouch for content we do not control.
This site is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that it will always be accessible, uninterrupted, error-free, or free of anything harmful, and we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We take reasonable care to keep the information here accurate, but it is a page about work in progress and parts of it will go out of date.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site, from any inability to access it, or from ESSENT not launching, launching late, or launching differently from what is described here.
This includes indirect and consequential loss, and any loss of profit, opportunity, data, or goodwill.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
We may update these terms as the product and the site develop. The current version is always the one on this page, and the effective date below tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of this site will be handled by the courts of Taipei, Taiwan.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your own country.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remain in force and the unenforceable part is applied to the maximum extent permitted. Failing to enforce a term on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce it later.
These terms, together with the privacy notice, are the entire agreement between us regarding this website.
